So sorry for not posting on Friday, but the winner of the giveaway was a friend from church, so I was able to notify him in person.

He also wanted to remain anonymous, and he only took half of the prize.

As such, I decided to draw another name for the other half.

Why Help?

For a child like Nana, every day that passes is a step closer to a heartbreaking deadline. Most children born with Down syndrome (or other genetic disorders) in other countries are killed at birth; others are put into orphanages, where they will stay until they are five years old (read more about this at Reece's Rainbow). At five years old, if they have not been adopted, they are transferred to adult mental institutions. Once there, these children do not survive long. In most cases, money is the only thing standing in the way of a family adopting one of these angels. The typical cost for adopting a child like Nana is $20,000. Nana already has $1,000 funded toward the cost of her adoption. My goal is to help Reece's Rainbow collect the full cost of her adoption so that her loving family will not have to pay anything to welcome their beautiful daughter into their home.
